Ideal for mass planting as ground cover with attractive foliage forming neat, low growing mounds. Dainty, frilly flower heads of ruby red nod above the foliage through the spring months with spot flowering throughout the warmer months. Fast growing and low care.
G. Flames of Passion produces ruby red flowers whilst those of G. Pink Frills are a soft, musky pink.
Medium water requirements. Once established, quite dry tolerant requiring only occasional long soak during extended periods of heat.
Low maintenance and easy to grow. Apply a slow release fertiliser in spring. No pruning generally required although removing spent flower heads will encourage further flushes.
