Variety Profile
The selection has been called the Café Club range and each member of this club displays a leaf colour that is both unique and exciting. Heuchera ‘Caramel’ is a rich, warm, toffee-yellow shade while Heuchera ‘Citronelle’ has bright lemony yellow leaves. The reddish, chocolate tinted leaves of Heuchera ‘Brownies’ look good enough to eat and Heuchera ‘Mocha’ leaves start off copper brown and darken to near black.
As you can imagine together they form a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours. They form attractive mounds of foliage which give birth to fine stems of tiny bell flowers in autumn. average around 30 cms in height and will spread around 50 cms wide. They look fabulous as a border plant in a single colour or mixed together in containers where their colours blend in ripe and mellow harmony.
There are quite a few Heuchera species all originating from North America and the Café Club range are hybrids bred in France from the species Heuchera villosa.

Cultural Care
Café Club heucheras are more tolerant of warm, sunny and humid conditions than other heucheras. Once established with a dose of slow release fertiliser in spring, they will thrive in an open or semi-shaded position with a minimum amount of water to keep the soil moist.
A lightly shaded location in a moist but well drained soil will give the best results. Heucheras will, however, tolerate full sun given protection from main heat of the afternoon. They may also be grown in full shade but will stretch to form a more open habit. No pruning is required. An addition of slow release fertiliser applied in spring would be beneficial.

Plant Uses
A choice heuchera for fantastic form and vigour making this a particular favourite for landscaping. Easy to grow, evergreen perennial for all kinds of general garden use as well as for small gardens or container displays. Looks particularly superb when mass planted under open canopy trees. Very deep shade can result in loss of colour vibrancy. In containers they can be mixed with other shade loving plants such as B. Jack Frost or P. Mona Lavender or simply repeat a number of containers in a line with same heuchera variety in each for a more contemporary, designer effect.
