Variety Profile
Native to Britain, this upright form produces glossy, divided dark green foliage contrasted with red internodes and leaf axils. Unusual clusters of pale green, nodding, bell shaped flowers form atop the foliage in late winter with the display continuing through to mid spring.

Cultural Care
This variety requires consistently moist soil and some protection from the afternoon sun. For optimum performance, fertilise in spring and early summer and remove old stems when new growth begins to emerge from the base in spring.

Plant Uses
Grow as individual clumps or create dramatic sweeps of colour with drifts of plants. The deep green leathery foliage will form an attractive ground cover for shaded areas but keep in mind the deeper the shade the less production of flowers.
