Variety Profile
B. 'Lemon Twist' is a ground cover producing an abundance of small lemon yellow coloured daisy flowers for much of the year. Brachyscomes are one of the easiest plants to grow and will thrive in a variety of garden positions and do not require pampering.
A spreading habit and long flowering season makes B. 'Lemon Twist' an excellent choice for covering bare areas of earth around taller shrubs and perennials or to soften edges around pathways.

Cultural Care
Prefers a well drained soil (ideally well composted) in full sun or dappled shade. Brachyscomes do not like 'wet feet'. Will benefit from regular watering and applications of slow release fertiliser in spring and late summer. Naturally compact but don't be afraid to prune. This can be done at any time of the year - prune old growth and flowers by about 3-5 cm to keep the plant vigorous and initiate new flowers. Keep the area around the plant free of weeds.

Plant Uses
Brachyscomes make an excellent contribution to many garden styles including cottage or native. Most spectacular when used in group plantings but is also ideal for rockeries, sleeper walls or for edging paved areas. Suitable for container planting.
In native gardens B. 'Lemon Twist', can be used in conjunction with Kangaroo Paws, grasses such as Carex species, Grevilleas and Banksias. For cottage gardens try using as a compliment to tufted plants such as Iris or as an overplanting for bulbs.
